F1 Singapore

F1 Singapore is well on its way. Good news is that the lighting seems to be NOT a problem for the drivers and the track looks good on TV. Also it looks like there will NOT be rain tonight, so thats good news for the image of Singapore.

Good news for the city of Singapore, but bad news for racing fans. The track has 23 corners and drivers seems to dislike it. World championship pace-setter Lewis Hamilton and two-time F1 champion Fernando Alonso hate each other but both agreed that there would be virtually no chance of overtaking at the Singapore Grand Prix. The 5 km street circuit is narrow and bumpy and both drivers (and others) feel that over-taking is impossible.

That means that the race will be won at the start and in the pits. Too bad for racing fans.
