Who says Singapore does not have a sense of humor? 32 year-old Oliver Fricker, a Swiss business consultant, was charged in court with breaking into a Singapore MRT depot and spray-painting graffiti on a train.
Mr. Fricker’s passport was impounded and bail was set at a ridiculous $100,000. Now a Briton, Lloyd Dane Alexander, is suspected to be an accomplice of Mr. Fricker and is ought by Singapore. Problem is Mr. Alexander is in Hong Kong at the moment and Singapore is going to extradite him from Hong Kong.
Yes, Singapore is going to extradite a man for vandalism! People in Indonesia must be laughing their guts out when they hear this. There are over 10 Indonesian millionaires currently living in Singapore who are wanted by Indonesia for various corruption charges but Singapore has constantly refused to extradite them back to Indonesia. Now Singapore wants to extradite a man from Hong Kong for vandalism!
Is vandalism more serious than corruption? In Singapore, that seems to be the case. Who says Singapore does not have a sense of humor?
